García-Munté Energía

In 1952, the Garcia-Munte group purchased 100% of Compañía Naviera Española, and the six-vessel fleet owned by this company became the sole coal transporter for Mineria Industrial y Comercial de Cemento y Carbones.

In 1956, the GM group purchased the Asturian anthracite mines Mina Matiella and Minas Perfectas. Min.Industrial y Com.Cmtos y Carbones was responsible for marketing the mineral production of these mines.

In 1962, all marketing activities of the Garcia Munte group were finally brought together in a new company called Comercial Garcia Munte. The commercial activities expanded through subsidiaries to include the distribution of liquid fuels in the Iberian peninsula.
